A Routine Eye Exam is an annual office visit for the purpose of checking vision, screening for eye disease and/or updating eyeglass or contact lens prescriptions. These appointments are not always covered by insurance - please check with your insurance carrier.
If the patient is under 8 years of age, please select Pediatric Eye Exam. If you are experiencing an eye problem, please select Medical Eye Exam. If you were referred by another medical provider, please select Medical Eye Exam which will be billed through your medical insurance, not your vision insurance.

Medical Eye Exams are the assessment of an eye complaint or to follow up on an existing medical condition which is billed to your medical insurance, not your vision plan. Other routine services like glasses and/or contact lens testing, fitting and prescriptions may not be covered by your medical insurance. Please check with your insurance for coverage.

A Pediatric Eye Exam is for patients under the age of 18. Please note that not all insurances cover for routine services like glasses and/or contact lens testing, fitting or prescriptions.
Medical consultation and referrals for Pediatrician will be evaluated by the Pediatric Ophthalmologist and billed to your medical insurance. Appointments for routine services including failed vision screenings will be evaluated by the Pediatric Optometrist and billed to your vision insurance, any problems identified will be directed to one of the Pediatric Ophthalmologist for further evaluation.
