I was shocked to read the poor reviews that mostly complained about the time being excessive at the appointment. Suggest those involved procure concierge medicine wherein you pay the physician direct with no insurance involved. When I have an appointment, I spend less than 5 minutes in the waiting. My physician has a total of 240 active patients and I have his direct cell number. Next, I did not find Dr.Blasberg to be a "crackpot" and he has been practicing for a long time and was very informative concerning the findings from the eye exam and the suggested options for correction. Emory is an excellent teaching facility and he graduated from same.
Read other posts about waiting... Our appointment started 5 minutes early. Everyone was friendly. We saw a pediatric ophthalmologist.
My little girl (17 months) has seen Dr. Stephen Lipsky on several occasions and has had two surgeries with him to correct tear duct obstructions. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lipsky - truly the kindest physician that I have ever encountered. He took his time with us, fully explained my daughter's condition and was incredibly sensitive to the fact that it is very scary to have your child undergo any sort of surgery. Each time I have seen Dr. Lipsky, he has shaken my hand and truly taken his time to make sure my daughter was properly diagnosed and cared for. Lastly, he went out of his way to call me the evening of my daughter's second surgery to make sure she was doing well (at 9pm). You absolutely cannot find better expertise or bedside manor than that of Dr. Lipsky. He is what every doctor should strive to be like.
Dr. Wallace is amazing! She is very personable and you can ask her any question and she will answer without making you feel like an idiot. She takes her time with you and I feel she is very practical. Everybody at the office is very pleasant and I have never had to wait a long time to be seen. I first went there because another doctor told me that I had glaucoma and had to take drops. I went to Dr Wallace for a second opinion and I'm very happy I did. She's very cautious and very thorough about checking your eyes and making sure unicorn it is absolutely necessary before giving you any medication. I used to go somewhere else for my eyeglasses but because I really like this office and the staff here I'm going to get my eye glasses at this place too.
I needed to make a change because I was very unhappy with the Optometry group that I was going to, I was not pleased for the last 2 years. I had 2 new pair of glasses that I could not wear. I stopped in Thomas Eye Group to see what it was like. I was greeted by their very friendly staff and Anita. I explained that I was unhappy where I was going and was just checking to see if this was a place that I would like to come. The atmosphere was fantastic. I was greeted by everyone when walking in, making me feel welcomed. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Anita took time to explain to me about their glasses and lens. I did not have my vision plan with me, but she took the time to look me up in the system and found me. At this point I made an appointment for myself and a senior family member. At our appointment time, they were very gracious to keep us together so that I could be with my family member that I brought. We saw Dr. Augustus T. Stephens...He was very informative. I told him that when you get ready to do that eye puff test, I won't be able to do it. He just laughed, and said "we don't do that test." Instead I was seated and the machine just took imagery of my eyes. Wow, I felt like the place I used to go to was prehistoric. I waited until I picked up my glasses before writing this review. I wanted to see if I was going to finally get a pair of glasses that were useful. Tried them on, and "BAM" fantasic.. Thank You Hillandale,Thomas Eye Group....1. For Great customer service 2. For a pair of glasses that I finally can use. :-)
