Hailing from the charming town of Aiken, South Carolina, Dr. Stephens embarked on his academic journey at Morehouse College in Atlanta. It was here that his passion for healing took root, propelling him towards a career in medicine. His alma mater, Morehouse School of Medicine, became the crucible where his aspirations crystallized into reality as he earned his medical degree. 

Dr. Stephens’ pursuit of mastery took him across the country, completing clinical training in ophthalmology at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and the University of California-Davis. His residency journey culminated in 1995, marking the onset of a distinguished career dedicated to restoring vision and transforming lives. In 2001, Dr. Stephens manifested his vision by founding Stephens Eye Associates in Atlanta, a testament to his unwavering dedication to community service. His practice became a sanctuary for those seeking clarity amidst vision impairment, offering advanced treatments and personalized care. 

As a board-certified ophthalmic surgeon, Dr. Stephens is a maestro in the realm of cataract surgery, specializing in small-incision, suture-free techniques that prioritize patient comfort and rapid recovery. His expertise extends beyond cataracts, encompassing glaucoma surgery and refractive laser procedures, offering comprehensive solutions to a myriad of ocular conditions.
