Dr. Jeffrey Cofie is a Board-Certified Optometrist with a keen interest in the treatment and management of ocular disease. After graduating from East Carolina University, he went on to earn his doctorate at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. He advanced his education further by completing a residency in complex disease management and cataract, glaucoma and refractive surgery at Georgia Eye Partners/Emory University Hospital Midtown.
Dr. Cofie has strong clinical proficiency in the diagnosis and management of eye diseases, binocular vision disorders, specialty contact lens fittings and co-management of surgical procedures. He is an active member of the Georgia Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry and the Optometric Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Society. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
Through compassionate and comprehensive eye care, Dr. Cofie loves playing a role in improving his patient’s quality of life while also building lasting relationships. The most rewarding part of his job is helping his patients see the world more clearly while empowering and educating them on the importance of their eye health.
Dr. Cofie actively volunteers for the Lion’s Lighthouse Club Foundation, participating in community-based vision screenings to provide care to underserved communities. He also volunteers for the Special Olympics as part of the Opening Eyes Program. His other passions include spending quality time with his family, traveling the world and playing racquetball.
Dr. Cofie is committed to providing excellent eye care to his patients and is honored to serve the community of Atlanta.
