Dwight D. Boyd, OD, is a board-certified Comprehensive Optometrist serving patients at our Cumming location. He specializes in the management of glaucoma and the fitting of specialty contact lenses.

Dr. Boyd has been serving patients in North Metro Atlanta since 1991. Prior to the merger of his practice with Thomas Eye Group, he established North Point Eyecare in Alpharetta, GA. He subsequently opened Eye Q Vision Center in Cumming, GA, in 1994. This opportunity gave him the profound pleasure of mentoring many young doctors and other eyecare professionals in the field of Optometry. He has built a patient base with more than 38,000 patient encounters.

Dr. Boyd is certified by the National Board of Optometry for the treatment and management of ocular disease and has passed board examinations in the states of GA, TN, and MS. Additionally, he enjoys serving the underprivileged and underserved segments of the population working with mission groups, providing free eyecare services in various settings on four different continents. He has also treated those incarcerated in the Georgia penal system

His hobbies include spending time with family and pursuing opportunities to serve in the community while enjoying sailing and fishing on Lake Sidney Lanier.
