Dr. Hurley specializes in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease and ocular emergencies. Her professional interests include glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye disease, and emerging research in dry eye diagnosis and treatment.
While pursuing her undergraduate studies, Dr. Hurley developed a strong interest in ocular anatomy. After graduation, she shadowed an optometrist and saw firsthand the impact quality eye care can have on a community. That experience confirmed that optometry was the right career path for her.
Among her proudest professional accomplishments are completing an ocular disease residency and earning Fellowship status with the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Hurley chose Thomas Eye Group because of its outstanding reputation and the positive experiences shared by several physicians within the practice. She was drawn to the opportunity to focus on her areas of clinical interest while working alongside a team dedicated to exceptional patient care.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Hurley enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, writing, and hiking. She also enjoys spending time with her Maltese, Mango, a five-pound dog with the personality of a much larger breed.
