Dana Wallace, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract diagnosis and surgery. She performs both traditional and laser-assisted cataract surgery implanting the most advanced intraocular lenses (IOLs) available. She is also a specialist in glaucoma management. Dr. Wallace specializes in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery including the iStent infinite® Trabecular Micro-Bypass System, the Hydrus® Microstent, the OMNI® Surgical System, the iDose TR implant, the XEN® GEL stent, glaucoma tube shunts, glaucoma lasers, and many other advanced treatment methods.
She graduated from the Duke University School of Medicine where she earned the Dean’s Recognition Award and completed a clinical research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. She completed an internship in internal medicine at Carolinas Medical Center, a residency in ophthalmology at the Duke University Medical Center, and a fellowship in glaucoma at the Duke University Eye Center.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two small children.
