Absolutely love Dr. Salit!!!! By far THE best eye doctor for pediatrics! She has been caring for my son since birth and recently did eye muscle on him. Thank you for correcting my son's vision!!!! We appreciate you and couldn't imagine another doctor taking your place!!!
Arriving for the first appointment was a little overwhelming; there are two islands with computers for patient check-in, but no real directions on what to do first or where to go. Thankfully, a helpful employee saw that we looked quite lost and gave us some guidance. Otherwise, it was a stellar experience! The staff were friendly and polite, the appointment ran very much on schedule, despite the fact that we were a emergency work-in, and Dr. Salit was kind and very thorough.
Dr. Heit for adults and Dr. Lipsky for pediatrics are the VERY best. Dr. Heit has been my eye doctor for many years and performed a perfect PRK Lasik procedure on me in 2008. His attention to detail and understanding and patient bedside manner sets him apart from the rest. My son had surgery performed by Dr. Lipsky and I say the same about him. A true perfection and a doctor who displays great kindness and support. I have been a patient of the Thomas Eye Group in general for over 35 years.
Wonderful environment! No long waiting, they get you in and out. The staff is so pleasant.
Yup...between the waiting room, initial prep tests with a tech, then back in the waiting room for the dilating drops to take effect; it was at least an hour & a half before moving forward to the exam room/doctor. This may seem long...and it certainly is long when you have an anxious child with you. However, working with an ophthalmologist for 8 years...this is typical, especially when the doctor is popular. I recommend bringing plenty of workbooks, activities, and snacks. An optometrist is for routine/healthy eyes...an Ophthalmologist is for people who need a medical doctor to care for their eyes. Patience is a virtue...and easier with crackers.
