Jeri S. Salit, M.D. is a fellowship-trained, Board Certified pediatric ophthalmologist. She joined the Thomas Eye Group in 1996 after 10 years of private practice in San Diego, CA. She specializes in comprehensive medical and surgical eye care for children, including surgery to correct eye muscle imbalances and the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the eyes.
She received her Bachelor's degree Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Southern California. Dr. Salit served a pediatric internship at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and an ophthalmology residency at the University of California San Diego Medical Center. Dr. Salit completed pediatric ophthalmology fellowships at Children’s Eye Center in San Diego, National Children’s Medical Center in Washington, D. C., and the Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Salit is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr. Salit’s leisure time is spent with her husband and their children.
