GLENDA B. BROWN, O.D.

Comprehensive Optometrist

Glenda B. Brown, O.D. is a Board Certified Optometrist specializing in pediatric and family eye care and has practiced in metro Atlanta for more than 30 years. Dr. Brown was awarded the title of “Optometrist of the Year” by the Georgia Optometric Association (GOA) in 2015. She cares for patients at Thomas Eye Group’s Suwanee office.

Prior to her current position with Thomas Eye Group, she practiced with Pediatric EyeCare of Atlanta, a division of Thomas Eye Group and later with another Alpharetta eye care practice before returning to Thomas Eye Group.

Dr. Brown graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1977 and a Doctorate of Optometry in 1981.

She has extensive experience in fitting both pediatric and adult patients with contact lenses, managing patients with medical eye care needs and enjoys helping patients obtain their optimal vision correction.

Dr. Brown was president of the Georgia Optometric Association in 2013-2014 and has served the organization in many other areas of leadership. In addition, she is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association 9th District. In 2007, she was honored to receive the Georgia Optometric Association Bernard Kahn Award for leadership, service, and dedication to the profession of optometry in Georgia.

A native of Alpharetta, Dr. Brown currently resides in Suwanee and enjoys family time with her husband Dr. Alan Brown, also on staff with Thomas Eye Group, children and three grandchildren. She is a member of Perimeter Church and enjoys reading, boating, and travel.
