Dr. Dwight D. Boyd has been serving patients in the North Metro Atlanta area since early 1991. His commitment to offer the finest eyecare experience possible continued in 1994 when he established North Point Eyecare in Alpharetta, Georgia and with the opening of Eye Q Vision Center of Cumming, Ga. in 2007.
He has been certified by the National Board of Optometry for the treatment and management of ocular disease, including additional certification in ocular disease and glaucoma in the states of Georgia, Tennessee, and Mississippi. His special interests include treating and managing glaucoma patients and fitting keratoconus and multifocal specialty contact lenses.
He has established himself as a referral-based consulting optometrist providing primary eyecare services treating ocular disease in multiple Georgia Correctional Institutions while contracting with Medical College of Georgia/GCHC. Dr. Boyd has lectured to the professional staff concerning eye care management and has been called on by the Georgia Secretary of State’s office to help assist in the development of new standards for the State Optometric Board examination. Outside of work, his hobbies include spending time with family, reading, and in his spare time sailing or boating on Lake Sidney Lanier.
